Hotels and restaurants: embrace Tripadvisor, don’t fight it

It’s the kind of scenario everyone working in the hospitality trade fantasises about: a guest house owner in Scotland has posted a 900-word response to a negative review on Tripadvisor.

The hotel owner took offence at the review and replied with a similarly scathing review of his guests. The tirade caused a stir on social media with a number of commenters saying they planned to visit the guest house.  While we wouldn’t advise copying this method, there are plenty of ways you can use Tripadvisor as part of your marketing strategy.
